2009-2010 Financial Aid Application Process For Returning Students

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE REQUIRED FOR A FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED COMPLETE.

PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINKS BELOW TO PRINT THE FORMS.

Please submit all documents, at one time, to the Office of Financial Aid, Lafayette College, 107 Markle Hall, Easton, PA 18042-1777or via fax at 610-330-5758. We cannot accept documents via e-mail.

We will not review an application until all required documents are received. Funds are limited so deadlines matter. We cannot guarantee consideration for college-funded grants if the required documents are not received by the specified deadlines.

You may track receipt of all requirements by using the Secure Login to Banner Self Service on our website.

  • Parental information requested refers to the parents with whom the student resides.

LAFAYETTE FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION FOR RETURNING STUDENTS
  • Print and complete all sections and mail to the Financial Aid Office.
  • Be sure it is signed and dated by both parent and student.
  • Split custody households should submit information on the custodial parent and his/her spouse. Noncustodial information is requested under Section IV and the Noncustodial Parent's Statement.
  • In case of multiple siblings at Lafayette, please submit one application per student.

SIGNED COPIES OF 2008 FEDERAL TAX RETURNS and W-2's
  • Mail SIGNED copies for both student and parents.
  • Include all schedules
  • Include all W-2s and/or 1099s.
  • Include student's Lafayette ID# or SSN on all tax documents
  • Acceptable documents: Signed copy of IRS 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ.
  • If you or your parents are not required to file a federal income tax return, complete and sign the Statement of Tax Status (see below).
  • If you have filed an extension for your taxes, please be aware that we cannot disburse any financial aid until we receive the completed and signed federal tax return.

CSS BUSINESS FARM SUPPLEMENT (BFS)
(if applicable)
  • If your parents (custodial and/or noncustodial) own all or part of a business or farm, the BFS must be completed in full (both sides).
  • If your parent(s) own a Sole Proprietorship or a farm, submit schedule C or F with the signed 2008 tax return in addition to the BFS.
  • If your parent(s) own all or part of a Corporation , S Corporation or Partnership, submit a signed coy of 2008 IRS form 1120, 1120S, or 1065, with K-1s and all related schedules.

NONCUSTODIAL PARENT'S STATEMENT (NCPS)
(if applicable)
  • If your parents are divorced or separated, the noncustodal parent must
    provide the information requested on the NCPS.
  • Complete and signed 2008 tax returns and W-2s are required.
  • Please include the student's Lafayette ID# or SSN on all documents.
