Mulgrew Miller and Kenny Barron
![]() ![]() Easton-based pianist Mulgrew Miller began his career with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, under the direction of Mercer Ellington, in 1975. He went on the perform with the Betty Carter Trio, Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, and a number of all-star groups. He maintains a working trio and a renowned sextet, Wingspan. Philadelphia-born Kenny Barron's unmatched ability to mesmerize audiences with his elegant playing, sensitive melodies and infectious rhythms is what inspired the Los Angeles Times to name him “one of the top jazz pianists in the world” and Jazz Weekly to call him “The most lyrical piano player of our time.” The two kings of the keyboard join forces for an exceptional evening of duo piano improvisations.
