Parent Volunteers
Parents of Lafayette students are part of the Lafayette Family. The college values input from parents and offers several opportunities for you to volunteer your time and expertise. If you would like to serve on a committee or serve as a volunteer and did not indicate your interest on the Parent Volunteer Form that was mailed to you in June, please contact the appropriate office below.
Parent Ambassadors - work in a variety of ways with the Career Services Office. Parents can offer internships and externships at their place of work, review résumés, participate in panels, or encourage their business to send recruiters to campus. Career Services Office: 610-330-5115.
Parent Partners in Admissions (PPAs) - assist the Admissions Office by talking to parents of prospective students, attending spring receptions for newly accepted students or hosting a reception for students from their area. Admissions Office: 610-330-5100.
Parents Association Advisory Committees:
Communications Committee - reviews publications, programs, or web pages of particular interest to parents. The committee meets once in January to summarize and develop proposals for their recommendations. Parents Programs Office: 610-330-5048.
Family Weekend Committee - members must attend Family Weekend and complete a survey on the events, activities and entertainment that they attended. The committee meets with administrative staff and the chair of the student planning committee in January to discuss recommendations. Parents Programs Office: 610-330-5048.
Parents Fund Committee – assist the Parents Fund by contacting other parents for financial support by calling from home or by attending a regional phonathon in your area or one on campus. Parents Fund Office: 610-330-5047. |
