The Lafayette College Fund accepts gifts from alumni, parents, and friends for current operating support. Priority is placed on unrestricted giving to allow these funds to be put to immediate use for the most pressing needs. Contributions enhance academic and cocurricular programs and services and underwrite new initiatives that enable the College to remain competitive with peer institutions.

The Parents Fund is one component of the College Fund. Parents of current and past students are solicited each year. Lafayette recognizes the special commitment of parents who contribute to the Parents Fund, particularly since they are already incurring a considerable expense of tuition. Still, tuition covers only approximately 70 percent of the true cost of educating a Lafayette student, and gifts to the fund help bridge this gap.

Parent participation is critical and is a strong indicator of the commitment and value that parents place on a Lafayette education. Such participation enables the College to seek additional funding from corporations and foundations. Your gifts help provide a top-notch faculty, state-of-the-art computer equipment, library acquisitions, laboratory and classroom equipment, intramural and intercollegiate athletic programs, financial aid and scholarships, and student activities programs.

Every gift, regardless of size, is essential to the success of the Lafayette College Fund. Leadership gifts, which begin at the $500 level, are crucial if Lafayette is to reach its Parents Fund goal.

The MAROON CLUB is an organization of alumni, parents, and friends that promotes and supports the athletic program. The club funds, sponsors, and hosts various athletic and academic programs while providing financial support to all of the College’s 23 intercollegiate athletic teams.

The basic membership of $50 per year includes monthly newsletters or daily email updates and invitations to all club-sponsored activities including pre- and postgame events, the Hall of Fame dinner, and the golf tournament. Football and basketball media guides are sent to members who request them. For more information, contact Scott Morse, Executive Director of the Maroon Club, (610) 330-5129 or morses@lafayette.edu.
