Lafayette Campus News (www.lafayette.edu), September 12, 2005 — Reservations are due today for a mock application session for students interested in law school.
The panel discussion will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Kirby Hall of Civil Rights room 104. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the law school application process from Andrea L. Gershwin, assistant director of admissions at Brooklyn Law School; Allison Spada, assistant director of admissions at Georgetown University Law Center; and Katherine Moss, admissions counselor at Villanova University School of Law.
The admissions officers will discuss the inside story of how their admissions committees operate, including what factors help or hurt an applicant’s chance of admission. Students are encouraged to bring questions.
The panelists will be introduced by Helena Silverstein, associate professor and assistant head of government and law and chair of the Legal Professions Faculty Advisory Committee.
The discussion will be followed by dinner with panelists at 6:30 p.m. in the Farinon Center Marlo Room; however, all 20 seats for the dinner are filled.
