Mission StatementThe Counseling Center provides high quality, confidential counseling designed to help students learn how to meet their intellectual, interpersonal, and developmental goals. Our programs and services aim to promote a healthy, equitable, and positive campus community. The Counseling Center staff provides crisis intervention and offers consultation on matters related to student development and psychological well being. All services are conducted in a manner that is positive, empowering and respectful of the diversity of the Lafayette community.
Confidentiality: All contacts are strictly confidential under the guidelines of the American Psychological Association and the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. (Confidentiality may not apply if a person presents an imminent danger to self or others or in the case of child abuse) Making an Appointment: Simply Call 330-5005 or stop by and talk to the secratary to set up an appointment. Typically, you will be seen within a day or two of making your appointment, depending on your schedule. During certain times of the semester the wait may be some what longer.If you are having an emergency, please let the secretary know so you can be seen as soon as possible. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY CALL THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY AT 330-4444. Location: The Center is located on the Second Floor in Bailey Health Center.
