Student Life Emergency Response
To insure that the proper College staff members are consulted and involved in decisions regarding potential emergency or problem situations, the Office of the Dean of Students has a Weekend On-Call System in place. This system, and the established procedures in effect during the week, are designed to provide a comprehensive safety net for our students.
In addition, the Office of Public Safety provides an array of services designed to promote a safe and secure campus environment. These include the Lafayette e2Campus Emergency Alert Service, a notification system that enables Lafayette students, faculty, parents, and staff to receive alerts on their cell phones in the event of an emergency on or close to campus; an outdoor alert system that will allow a siren to be sounded and voice messages (both live and pre-recorded) to be broadcast in the event of an emergency on or near campus; and, a host of other crime prevention and safety promotion programs.
